Melissa Lee, RLA
Landscape Architect
Melissa is a Northern California native, born and raised in Sacramento. She has always enjoyed being outdoors, and found that growing up as an avid equestrian and golfer helped develop her eye for detail and interest in the usable landscape around her.
While obtaining a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, she had the opportunity to study historical landscapes abroad in Italy, Spain, and France. These experiences were influential in her early career designing private parks, housing communities and streetscapes. Subsequently, Melissa's work in residential design/build allowed her to expand her knowledge of construction practices and methods, integrating them into her design approach. She enjoys the more intimate scale of residential landscapes and the ability to blend built elements into the natural landscape to create unique experiences and enjoyable outdoor spaces.
When she is not working, she enjoys doing yoga, walking the dog with her family, knitting and crocheting. She hopes to get back into golf and riding horses as her daughter gets older!
